Is there a budding artist inside you? You can find out on June 22 when Pinot’s Palette is hosting a “Paint a Grey” fund-raiser. Let your creative spirit have some fun from 4 to 6 p.m. at Pinot’s Palette, 5040 Sanderlin Ave., Suite 111, Memphis, TN 38117. Cost is $45 per painter.

This event is for beginners, experienced painters and anyone in-between. You will begin with a canvas prepared with a greyhound drawing (see accompanying picture), and end with a painting to take home for your wall. Staff will be on hand to help anyone who needs assistance or instruction.

Bring a photo of your greyhound if you want to use paint colors of your own hound, or do something entirely different! Be “artsy,” and use bright, surrealistic colors! (Think Picasso or Andy Warhohl.) Or be creative, and make your painting more like a comic greyhound portrait. It’s YOUR painting! It will be unique to your imagination and style!

This is a fun — and different — fund-raiser for anyone who loves greyhounds! Heavy hors d’oeuvres will be served. Bring your own potable beverages (or not). Glasses, cork screws, bottle openers and wine buckets will be supplied.
